Curious Minds Want to Know
Demystifying our Creative & Soulful approach
It’s natural to have questions when exploring a creative path to healing. Here is a little more about how we use art, action, and soul to help your family thrive.
-
What is Transpersonal Psychotherapy? It’s "whole-person" therapy. We look beyond just your symptoms to explore your spirit, your dreams, and your deeper purpose. It’s about honoring the "big picture" of who you are.
Do I need to be spiritual? Not at all. It’s simply an open invitation for your personal beliefs and curiosity. Whether you are spiritual, religious, or just "searching," we work with whatever feels true to you.
-
Do I have to be an actor? No stage fright allowed! There is no audience and no performance. We just use storytelling and "playing out" life situations to help you see things from a fresh, safe perspective.
How does it help? Sometimes words aren't enough. Drama therapy helps you get out of your head and into your heart, allowing you to "rehearse" new ways of being in a low-pressure space.
-
What exactly is a "Family System"? Think of your family as a moving mobile. When one piece shifts, the whole structure reacts. We look at the "dance" of your relationships to help everyone find a better rhythm.
Can I come to therapy alone? Definitely. You are a vital part of your family "mobile." When you change how you move, the rest of the system naturally begins to adjust.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
What should I expect in the first session? Our first meeting is about "finding the rhythm." We’ll spend 50 minutes getting to know one another, discussing your goals, and seeing how these creative tools feel to you. There is no pressure to 'create' right away—we move at your pace.
Do I need to be "good at art" for Family Therapy Arts? Not at all. In this space, the process is far more important than the product. Whether we are using drawing, movement, or traditional talk therapy, the goal is expression and healing, not a gallery showing.
-
What are your rates and do you take insurance? Our standard session rate is $180. We are in-network providers, with most major insurances. Contact us. We are happy to help!
What is your cancellation policy? We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations. This allows us to offer the time slot to another family or individual in need. Late cancellations are subject to the full session fee.
-
How long does therapy usually last? Every journey is unique. Some clients find clarity in 8–12 sessions, while others prefer long-term support. We will check in regularly to ensure the pace feels right for you.
Can you work with my whole family at once? Absolutely. Family systems are our specialty. We can facilitate sessions that include parents, children, or even extended family members to help bridge communication gaps through creative collaboration.
